Summer has finally arrived here in Central Oregon, and that means the 4th of July is right around the corner. Time to start thinking about how you're going to enjoy Independence Day, and what to wear to show your patriotic style!
Desserts - Delectable 4th of July Recipes
The 4th of July is a great time for family and friends to get together for a BBQ. We figure the guys have the BBQ details covered, so we've put together some delectable dessert recipes. Whether you're hosting or bringing something for the holiday pot-luck, there are some yummy options here.
My mouth started watering when I saw this gorgeous strawberry and blueberry trifle from Natasha's Kitchen (pictured above). It's super easy to make - requires no baking and only about 30 minutes of prep and assembly.
Patriotic Oreo Pops
These cute Patriotic Oreo Pops from Happiness is Homemade are festive and fun to make. With only three ingredients, you can put these together fast.
Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries
Anytime the word "cheesecake" is involved, I'm in. These Red White and Blue Cheesecake Strawberries from Spicy Southern Kitchen are colorful, delicious, and an impressive addition to the dessert table.
Red White and Blue Rice Krispie Pops
These Red White and Blue Rice Krispie Pops from Life Love and Sugar are perfect for a last minute dessert - you can even use already made, store bought rice krispie treats if you want.
4th of July Easy DIY Decor Tips
We've got some easy DIY ways to make your home or backyard more patriotic for your 4th of July activities. They're all simple to do, and are very budget friendly.
Patriotic Floral Bouquets
Find a cute vase or glass, or even a mason jar, add blue food coloring to the water, then add some daisies, mini red carnations, and a small American flag. That's it. If you wanted to, you could also tie a ribbon around the base for some extra flair.
Start saving your cans now, or be on the lookout for them at garage sales. These Can Luminaries from Total Art Soul are a fun and easy DIY project and quick to put together. You can use vegetable cans, or coffee cans if you want larger containers. Hint - fill the cans with water and freeze prior to nailing your design, and the cans won't dent.
Love The Day has some beautiful ideas on how to decorate a front or back porch for the 4th of July. Love the painted milk cans and that 1776 pillow!
4th of July Mason Jars
Hi, I'm Cindy and I'm a mason-jar-aholic. Ok, I admit it. But there's so much you can do with them! Like what Just Imagine did with these painted mason jars. Use them as silverware holders, vases, candy jars, candles, soap dispensers, salt and pepper shakers (small sizes), lanterns, cups and more.
You can use these paper fireworks for decor anywhere in the house (or outside as long as you don't expect a downpour). String them together for a garland or place them individually. Find out how to make them at LandeeSeeLandeeDo.
